Lysimachia vulgaris (Primulaceae)

Traditionally, Lysimachia vulgaris (Primulaceae) has been commonly used for dampness and heat in the body. The herbal medicine has been used for thousands of years in Chinese medicine to help increase urination, lessen fever and treat sexually transmitted ailments. As mentioned in numerous research articles, the most clinical health benefits of Lysimachia vulgaris (Primulaceae) is in the treatment of gallstones and kidney stones. It is also been found to be quite beneficial for the liver and gallbladder. It has also been shown to inhibit skin allograft, or skin graft, rejection time.
Lysimachia vulgaris (Primulaceae) is named so because of its coin-like leaf and more importantly its medicinal properties which were considered to be as precious as gold. It is also worth mentioning that most people do not mind the taste and smell of this herbal extract.
The herb has often been recommended in combination with Coptis Chinensis to accelerate the flushing of broken stones. There is some new research on Lysimachia vulgaris (Primulaceae) that shows gallstones and kidney stones may be easily treated without surgeries. In fact, it is believed to be one of the best herbal tinctures available to actually crush the stones into tiny particles, thereby allowing it to pass out of the body. Or at least, this has been the experience of many who have used it. This can be accomplished by a lemon and olive oil cleansing cocktail that can be found online. The tincture/extract of Lysimachia vulgaris (Primulaceae) appears to be the most efficient way to take this herbal product (one should not expect immediate results). The best reports for this herbal remedy is that with long-term use it helps prevent the formation and regeneration of stones.
As mentioned before, the herbal tinctures have been used as a natural remedy for centuries for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects which could help to fight infections. The typical functions of Lysimachia vulgaris (Primulaceae) are for urinary calculi, Nephrotic Syndrome (nephrosis), edema, damp-heat jaundice, and hepatolithiasis. As it has been recorded, in Chinese Materia Medica, Lysimachia goes to 4 meridians of liver, kidneys, gallbladder, and bladder. Typical functions of the herbs properties include alleviating water retention to treat stranguria, removing heat and toxic substances, to reduce swelling. Various organs get overworked by the accumulation of toxins in the body that can occur with the processed foods we cannot completely avoid. Many health problems may arise when the vital organs such as the kidneys and liver are unable to perform their important functions.
The Lysimachia vulgaris (Primulaceae) herb has also been used for boils, carbuncles, and even snake bite. It has antibacterial effects and works as an anti-inflammatory. As a side note, a tea of the tinctures may be given to dogs, and cats, for urinary difficulties and prostate problems.
Centuries of experience has shown that Lysimachia vulgaris (Primulaceae) can be taken safely and without side effects. However, the process of passing stones naturally can result in symptoms caused by the release of toxins into the body’s systems. The symptoms may manifest themselves as fever, nausea, muscle pain, earache, and headaches. Its natural effect is diuresis, or frequency of urination, which could result in an over excretion of potassium in long-term use. This may also counter the effects of any anti-diuretic medication.

And although there are no known side effects of Lysimachia vulgaris (Primulaceae), the process of passing stones naturally can result in symptoms caused by the release of toxins in the body’s systems. These may manifest as headaches, nausea, fever, earache and muscle pain. However, these are generally believed to be caused by the stress of passing stones rather than the Lysimachia vulgaris (Primulaceae) itself.
